The El Arenal Beach is located between Punta Hidalgo and Bajamar, on the coast of San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

This beach presents many different conditions throughout the year, depending on the current season. During the winter, this has strong waves, the perfect spot for practicing surf (you’ll see many surfers around during this period). On the other side, during the summer, the sea’s usually very calm and you might bathe without any problem. However, even though the conditions change, the charm of this uncrowded beach never disappears.

How to get here:

It has a difficult access. To get to the el Arenal Beach you should walk through a trail that begins on the Carretera General, near Hotel Neptuno.
