Villa La Orotava is one of the most important touristic areas on the island of Tenerife.

This is a very interesting location. Thousands of tourists come here from all over the Europe, every year.

Formerly, the valley was placed on a municipality known as “Valle Taoro” how the guanches called it. As a curious data, this was where the conquest of Tenerife was completed in 1946.

On this municipality you’ll enjoy a perfect climate as well as a stupendous vegetation on the whole island.

Here you’ll find the famous theme park Pueblo Chico as well magnific wine cellars known for their great wine, stupendous black volcanic sandy beaches as the Ancón Beach or the El Bollullo Beach.

Some of the must-see sites are: Casa Lercaro, Casa de los Balcones, the Victoria Gardens and the Nuestra Señora de La Concepción Church.

One of the best times to visit this location is during the patron festivities of the Corpus Christi (during June) as the city transforms mixing the religious and the tradition. During this historic festivities (dating back to 1264) the city ornaments itself with carpets, flowers and volcanic sands, everything in a lively fun environment.

Definitely, if you’re looking for nature, sea, entertainment or History don’t avoid visiting the Valle de Orotava,on the north of Tenerife.
