The San José Castle International Museum of Contemporary Art is located in the old military fortress in the San José Castle, in Arrecife, Lanzarote.

The San José Castle dates back to the XVIII century and, since here you might see the Naos Bay and the city of Arrecife.

The museum was founded in 1976 and nowadays hosts an important collection of worldwide known artists. We highlight the pieces from the canary islands’ artists Juan Ismael, Pancho Lasso or Cristino de Vera.
