San Luis Hermitage
Discover the San Luis Hermitage in the municipality of Santa Úrsula, Tenerife.
The San Luis Hermitage is located in the San Luis Square near the La Casona de San Luis and the El Calvario, in the municipality Santa Úrsula, on the island Tenerife.
The San Luis Hermitage was built to worship San Luis. The construction started in 1679 and finished a year after.
This hermitage still remains its original style, with simple construction, with square shape and a medium arch in cobblestone over the main entrance. On the left of its facade you might see a belfry and its bell. in the interior there’s an important polychrome sculpture from the XVII century.
It’s interesting to know that this was the place where the popular dance “El Baile del Remango” was born.
