The Canary Islands Flag

The Canary Islands Flag:

This is the official Canary Islands Flag since the 10th August 1982.

The Canary Islands Flag, as explained in an article of the Canary Islands Autonomy Statute, is formed by three identical vertical stripes, with the following colours (starting on the pole): white, blue and yellow. On the center of the flag you might see the official coat of arms from the Canary Islands, formed by a blue field with the seven islands on silver colour. The islands are arranged two by two and the last one, on the bottom. Over it you might see the golden crown, with a ribbon saying “Océano” (Ocean). All of this is guarded by two standing dogs on each side of the coat.
